It’s time to unfold new pages and start a new chapter in your life because it’s a New Year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Wow! Is 2018 already over? I can’t believe that year has passed quickly. My 2018 were filled with ups more than downs. I have travelled a lot, new experiences, new things I have learned and tried. I have developed, adopted and continue to do new habits.
I want to share good habits that I want to implement to make my 2019 better.

- Bedtime reading- I want to start reading again before bedtime instead of going on my phone looking on my social media or watching something on youtube. My plan is to read at least 10 pages every night and then for sure, that’s gonna make me sleepy to get me to the dreamland easily. I am considering buying a Kindle e-reader. Even though I like the feeling of holding a book while I read, I think it’s better to get a Kindle than collecting thousands of book that after you read they will just be sitting in the shelf and get dusted.

2. Exercise daily and eat healthy– I want to go back to my good old habit of exercising. I would like to do 15-20 minutes home workout or go for a street run five times a week. I just want to be active again and stop being lazy. Exercising used to be my happy pill, whenever I feel down, stressed or feeling negative it just flips my mood. I want to practice yoga again and do more meditation for my spiritual growth. I used to be very obsessed with healthy eating, but recently I just don’t care and eat whatever. As I age, I am now experiencing some health issues which I reckon I get from the food I am eating. I am aiming to eat 80% healthily and 20% indulgence. Our body is a temple for your mind, body and soul. So nourish it with only happy thoughts, good health and positive energy.

3. Journaling first thing in the morning– I’m now obsessed with calendar planning, time blocking and journaling, but I’m not consistent. I want to allocate at least 10-15 minutes in the morning every day to write on my planner or journal, maybe while I am having my breakfast. My mind is more active in the evening, which makes me stay up late and I want to break that habit. Writing something first thing in the morning will make me more productive and creative. In this way, I can either plan my to-do list or write new ideas in my journal.

4. Be more organised- With all my tools on organising, planning and journaling (click here to get your happiness planner) I should be more organised now. However, I still fail to deliver. I have started planning for my 2019 and I really want to be consistent. I also use the block schedule system on google calendar to be more organise on timing my tasks and to-dos then stick to it. I plan to complete my whole week time block every Sunday evening before I go to bed. I don’t want to be hard on myself but I tend to get distracted if I just write down my to-do list in a piece of paper.

5. Treat yourself– Hey don’t feel guilty if you want to spend your own hard-earned money to yourself, YOU DESERVE IT. Whether you want to go on a holiday, you want a new bag, a new watch or a day in a hairdresser for a blow-dry, change your hair colour, whatever or however you want to treat yourself don’t hesitate, just do it! Even though I am trying to become minimalist and obsessed about budgeting, I still treat myself with the things I need and I still manage to save some money for my future. What I do, I keep a spending fund and a travel fund then save every month, if I want to buy something or for my holiday pocket money I pull that money out without touching my savings account. Life can be tough to us sometimes, so let us be nice to ourselves.
So, there we have it, the 5 good habits that I want to implement in 2019 and for the rest of my life. I hope I have given you some inspirations to jumpstart 2019 and make it the best year. Until my next blog.
Lots of Love,
Rainne xxx
