Easter spells out beauty, the rare beauty of new life- S.D. GORDON
THE EASTER SUNDAY STORY:
Easter is the most important holiday in the Christian calendar and celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the end of Lent. Christians believe that Jesus was crucified on Good Friday after being betrayed by Judas. The Bible say he was condemned to death and after the crucifixion was placed in a tomb by Roman soldiers, who covered the entrance with a gigantic stone. Three days later Mary Magdalene, later followed by some of Jesus’s disciples, discovered that the tomb was empty. His followers believe he was resurrected on this day, which is now known as Easter Sunday.
HOW WE PLANNED THE PICNIC:
My wife, our friends and I planned to celebrate Easter Sunday together as we haven’t seen each other for quite some time because of the lockdown here in London. We planned to have an English afternoon tea picnic in Kensington Palace garden, one of the prettiest parks in London. Each household was assigned to bring something for the picnic (we are 3 households all together x 2 people). My wife and I were assigned to bring the food for the afternoon tea, the savoury and sweets. Rencie and Jonathan were assigned to bring the teacup sets, tea selections and Rencie baked some lovely brownies. And lastly, Adrian and Louie brought the cold beverages.

It was such a lovely and fun day for us especially since the weather was nice too. Seeing your friends and doing fun things with them is necessary especially in times like we have at the moment (as long as there are no restrictions where you reside). No matter what occasion or no occasion at all, socialising is as important as your regular meals. I just met this bunch last year and we all clicked and these kind of friends are the ones to keep.
I hope that you all had a lovely Easter Sunday too. Thank you all for reading my blog, until the next one.
Much Love,
