2020 has been a tough year for everyone. I don’t want to say that was my worst year ever, I have to admit that I have gained something beneficial as well. As the New Year approached, I have so many hopes and goals for this year. I want to make 2021 better and I have a lot of optimistic vision. My heart is full of gratitude and I want to share them with you.
- My job, I am fortunate to stay employed in the same company. We all know that so many people had lost their job because of the pandemic.
- My home, I am happy that I can rent my place with my other half. Having your own love nest is the best thing, you have your privacy, you don’t worry too much about the dirty dishes you have left from last night, waking up late, one of the best thing I have done in my life.
- My salary, I may not earn the same money as I earn 2 years ago, but I am still grateful that I can still save, pay rent, buy food and support my family back home. I only need to be wiser in spending money and managing finances.
- My Better-half, she is a blessing to me. She completes me. She makes my dream come true. She is my happiness.
- My two Aunts in London, even though they have left London for good, I can’t thank them enough for all their help. They are my inspirations for why I want to work harder and achieve my dreams.
- My managers at work, they have helped me a lot at work. I have learnt so many things from my current and previous managers not only about work but also moulded me for who I become, stronger and more outspoken.
- My colleagues, I treat my present team as good friends. We support and uplift each other and is the best working environment I have ever been employed in.
- My mobile phone is a part of my life. I do everything on my phone that you can name aside from entertaining myself on social media.
- Happiness Planner, I became one of their brand ambassadors. I have been a loyal follower/customer of them and it is a huge honour to promote them. I love journaling and writing anything that comes to my mind. Their journal helped me organise my life and my mental health too. Here is a DISCOUNT CODE: RAINNEWILSON5- entitles you to $5 off on any product purchases of $50 and above at https://thehappinessplanner.co.uk shop.
- My health, as I aged I prioritise my health and well-being. Remember mental health is as important as physical health. Check out my blog posts about self-care, MY SELF CARE PRACTICES, SELF-LOVE 101,
- My clothes, they keep me warm and feel good. I love to dress up and look presentable. There were times that I buy clothes that I don’t wear until I have realised that you do not need a million clothes because it is on-trend, what matter is you feel good and comfortable wearing them. It has been hard for me to let go of some of my favourite clothing, but I have to. Check out my pre-loved items (clothing)or my EBAY shop and you might find something you like.
- My shoes, I have a shoe obsession and I have collected numerous pairs. Like clothes, shoes make me feel confident and feel great. However, since we got quarantined and was not able to go out too often, I have realised that I only need the essential pairs. Check out my pre-loved shoes that I am selling.
- My friends in London, as I grow older, I have realised that you do not need hundreds of friends, you only need a few real ones who lift you, get inspired by them, to whom you can have fun and to grow intellectually.
- Side hustle and extra income, whenever I want to buy something that is not included in my budget, I have extra money that I can pull and spend.
- The weather, we all know that the weather here in the UK is unpredictable and it could affect my mood. But no matter what weather we have, I am grateful to witness the four seasons.
- My family, my relationship with my family is flawed, but no family is perfect. Family is family and I am grateful for them.
- Peace of mind, I am at the age where I just want no issue in life. I let go of anything that sucks the good energy out of me. Check out my blog about HOW DO I PROTECT MY ZEN and learn how I stay in a blissful life.
- My bed, duvet and pillows, When we work hard all day and retire for the night, you want a comfortable bed, fluffy pillows and a snuggly, warm duvet.
- MYSELF, I will be forever grateful for myself. I am proud of what I have become and I will work harder for my goals. Self-love and self-respect are the keys to thanking ourselves.
Focus on what you already have rather than what you don’t have and you will find contentment. Try to take time off and think about all the things to be thankful for that many of us take for granted. Tell me and write in the comment box below what you are grateful for. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.
Love,
Rainne
