Habits to Quit

It is easier to prevent bad habits than to break them

Before I decide to quit a bad habit, I always have justifiable reasons to myself why I shouldn’t quit. Quitting bad habits can be difficult but if you are doing it for your own good and happiness it can be easier to break it.

Try to identify your bad habits and focus on one habit at a time. In this way, you are more likely to be successful. Ok, I’m not gonna lie, you might fall back but don’t worry, it’s completely normal. Just pick yourself up and try again.

Here are some bad habits that I’m trying to quit:

  1. Overthinking.
  2. Putting yourself down.
  3. Fearing change.
  4. Trying to please everyone.
  5. Not asking for help.
  6. Not believing in yourself.
  7. Stress eating.
  8. Hanging out with toxic/negative people.
  9. Constant complaining.
  10. Being with people who don’t appreciate you.
  11. Procastinate.
  12. Leaving things to the last minute.
  13. Focusing on the negative.
  14. Being ungrateful.
  15. Being unorganised/messy.
  16. Postponing your goals.
  17. Living a mediocre/simple life.
  18. Self sabotaging.
  19. Running from your problems.
  20. Worrying about your flaws.
  21. Trying to control everything.
  22. Blaming others.
  23. Trying to be someone you are not.
  24. Living in the past or the future.
  25. Comparing yourself to others.
  26. Minding other people’s business.
  27. Being lazy.
  28. Being influenced by others.
  29. Being insecure.
  30. Relying on others.

These are the habits that do not serve me nor makes me happy, so I quit (working on some of them). Instead, I develop a happier life, I do positive habits that make me excited to wake up each day.

There is a high chance to be successful in quitting all these bad habits, just remember not to take on too much. Please remember to focus on one bad habit per area of your life.

Which bad habit are you planning or trying to quit? Have you started yet? It’s never too late to quit those bad habits that are not helping you. As long as you know your purpose in life you will be successful.

Thank you so much for making time to read my blog.

Lots of love,
