Free Things To Do and See in Vegas

Vegas means comedy, tragedy, happiness and sadness all at the same time.

The next state I have visited with my partner was Nevada. We went to the fabulous Las Vegas for two nights and a day.

We went to our friend’s house somewhere in California and we drove to Las Vegas. Our friend booked Harrah’s hotel in the heart of the strip. Our room was on the 28th floor and the view was stunning.

We arrived at 1 am and as soon as we checked-in, we decided to go out and explore the strip. This was my first time in Las Vegas, so for me, everything was amazing.

We did not stay too late out the strip because we were very tired. We decided to go back to the hotel and rest because we will have a busy day the next day.

I was very excited because this day was the day I am finally meeting my best friend that I haven’t seen for 14 years.

So, we decided to meet up at Ceasar’s Palace Hotel. We waited there and finally see her with her whole family. It was quite emotional, we both cried and hugged each other so tight. I finally met her husband, my God-son who was still a baby when the last time I saw him and the rest of her kids.

We had lunch at the Food Court at Ceasar’s Palace Hotel, had a catch-up and chit-chat about our lives. Some of us played the slot machine and won few bucks at the Casino.

Then we decided to explore the strip again.

The next Hotel we visited was The Venetian.

My best friend and me, happy to be reunited at the Venetian Hotel

I was really looking forward to seeing and visiting The Venetian Hotel because I’ve heard a lot of amazing reviews about this hotel. It’s not just a Hotel to stay but there are so many amazing things to see and do inside this massive hotel. There is a huge shopping mall inside, but with the sky painted above you. Imagine Venice, Italy in the USA how cool is that.

The sheer concentration of convincing iconic replicas is hard to take in, from the Doge Palace facade to the Rialto Bridge to the Campanile di San Marco tower and that’s before you reach the homage to the Sistine Chapel’s most famous work in the lobby. Light cascades around the huge open spaces created by elaborate vaulted ceilings and off the polished marble floors and walls, all framed by opera-singing gondoliers, classical guitarists and just about every feature that could evoke the best of Venice and Italy in one place.

I was mesmerised with the interior, from the ceilings, walls, pillars, arches and floor.
I really felt like I was in Venice, Italy because of this canal and Gondola

The next time I visit Vegas again, I would like to stay in the Venetian hotel.

Our next stop was, The Las Vegas Sign.

Welcome to Las Vegas Sign is one of the busiest tourist spots in Vegas, we literally queued up for almost thirty minutes just to strike a pose and get a group photo. It is located in the middle of the south end of the strip. To go here, we drove for 10 minutes from the strip and there is a free parking area too. There was a guy who offers to take photos, just don’t forget to give him tip. You haven’t been in Vegas unless you stopped here for a photo.

too busy here to get your solo photo.

The next hotel we visited was The Bellagio.

Another hotel that is inspired from Italy. The Bellagio Hotel draws inspiration from Lake Como town of the same name in Italy. It is known by the iconic lobby art ceiling consists of thousands of colourful hand-blown glasses and the dancing fountain show every night.

With a combination of music, water and light, the Bellagio delivers a spectacular audiovisual performance with its majestic fountains. We watched the dancing fountain show outside the Bellagio Hotel. The show starts from 3pm to 12am on weekdays and from 11am to midnight on weekends.

The art installation in Bellagio rotates, it depends on which season, event or occasion. It was the autumn season when we went there.

It was tiring to roam around vegas strip and one day is not enough. We were with my best friend’s little children and we made them so tired to explore. But we took them to M&M’S WORLD to get them some treats and presents.

M&M’s world Vegas

There are so many fun and free things to do in Vegas, but you should at least have three to five full days to allocate, that would be enough to explore the whole of Vegas.

I would really love to go back to Vegas and do some things that I haven’t done when I was there. I would like to see some shows, go clubbing, get drunk, experience the extreme rides such as STRATOSPHERE, visit and discover more hotels and a lot more. And I forgot to mention about the shopping outlet, I’ve heard Vegas shopping outlet has the cheapest and the best deals in the whole of USA. So, I’m definitely visiting Las Vegas again someday soon.

So there you go, I hope I gave you some tips and take it with you if you are planning to visit Vegas. It was a tiring but fun day out with my partner, old friend, bff and her whole family.

Thank you for taking some of your time to read my blog. Until my next one.

Cheers!!
